Dr El Kadri obtained his medical degree from the University of Aleppo-Syria and then moved to the United Kingdom for postgraduate medical training. He completed his cardiology and electrophysiology training fellowships at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital in 2012. He then spent two years at the University of Michigan-USA attending an advanced catheter ablation and devices fellowship. After that, he practiced as a consultant cardiologist/electrophysiologist at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital until he moved to Abu Dhabi in 2016.
Dr El Kadri worked as a cardiac electrophysiologist and Director of the electrophysiology service at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) and Director of cardiovascular research at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC), UAE. He currently works at Mediclinic in Abu Dhabi and Valiant Clinic Dubai.
He is accomplished academically with a master’s degree in Cardiology from the University of Brighton (2002) and a PhD in cellular electrophysiology from the University of Liverpool (2008). He holds several international heart rhythm certifications in electrophysiology and cardiac devices from societies such as the British Heart Rhythm Society (BHRS), The European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA), and the Heart Rhythm Society in the USA (IBHRE-HRS). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of physicians-London (FRCP) and a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS).
Dr El Kadri has a passion for research and education. He currently serves as an adjunct associate professor at Khalifa University in Abu Dhabi and was a core faculty member for the ACGME-I accredited cardiology fellowship program at SKMC. His current research interests are translational and population-level cardiac research with several collaborations at the national and international level and multiple publications in leading medical journals. Dr El Kadri is a frequent lecturer on topics related to heart rhythm locally and abroad. In addition, he is on question writing panels for several international exams such as IBHRE and MRCP and is a reviewer for several prominent scientific journals.
He is an experienced electrophysiologist, having performed more than 2000 heart rhythm procedures with a particular interest in the mapping and ablation of complex atrial and ventricular arrhythmias and complex cardiac device management such as lead extractions and interventional biventricular pacing techniques and is a keen user of novel technologies such as leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous ICD, and left atrial appendage closure devices.

Catheter Ablation
• Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT)
• Ablation Ventricular tachycardia (VT)
• Ablation Ventricular Ectopic Beats (PVCs)
• Ablation Atrial fibrillation ablation (cryoballoon and radiofrequency)
• Atrial flutter ablation Paediatric ablation procedures
